In front of and '!!Many Bothans died.! The commandos are one thing that confuse me.Delta Squad is full canon, and their game really doesn't contradict anything at all.

Unless they appear in the future in a game or book and do something specifically when the missions in the original game occur then why can't the game be canon too?The only thing that is different is them having different voices which could easily be explained as to their communicaters set to give them different voices to when their helmets are on to make it easier to tell who is speaking during a firefight or something, which makes a lot of sense. I just wish Disney did like they said they would and comb over the EU to see what they could keep. I'm pretty sure I saw a video where someone said they had a team doing so.It's like they started, realized how much it was, and said 'screw it, it's all non canon' without looking at the confusion it could cause. The only inconsistance I can think of for Republic Commando is the squad not having Mk-II trooper armor by the time the battle of Kashyyyk happened, which could simply be explained as to commando armor not needing upgraded or the squad electing to keep their Mk-I armor. An extremely minor retcon compared to what we've seen. I doubt they'll go back and say 'elements X on page 123 of book Y is canon, but the rest of the book isn't' or 'book X is canon except for pages 100-101' or anything like that. That would get way too confusing way to quickly.More likely they're going to go through the EU and any elements they feel are worth saving they'll work into future canon works. Like, for example, in Tarkin the Moff ends up taking command of an.

While they don't specifically call it 'Ton Falk Class' the physical description of it is spot on (flat bottom, large forward landing bay, curved upper hull that extends back over the engines). Most likely the Legends stories are meant to be looked at as exactly that: legends. 'I'm telling you, Luke Skywalker was able to use the force to trick these parasites that were eating his lungs into leaving and then went ahead and kicked the Ssi-ruvi all the way back to beyond the rim!'

'Yeah, sure he did kid, and is that why I've never heard of these 'seeroovies'?' I don't know, man. Rules are rules. I don't like it either. I can't particularly remember anything in Clone Wars (2003) that contradicts anything in canon but per Lucasfilm it's all Legends. The only thing that comes to mind, besides the voices thing, about Republic Commando is units.

By that I mean like the large Geonosians with the flame guns. But as you said, that doesn't necessarily make it implausible. Though everyone has head canon so why not give Lucasfilm the figurative finger, right?. That's why I wish Disney spent more time with the EU and actually tried to look for things that could, even should, have carried over. You can't just throw in an EU character and not explain whether or not that character's EU backstory is canon. It's confusing for fans and can lead to arguments. They should have at least gone back and looked at which characters and aspects of the EU was added to the movies and The Clone Wars and decided what parts to include. Sure, it would have been quite a bit for some characters, and it would be weird for some stories the characters starred in to be non-canon while others are not (Quinlan Vos' in the comics comes to mind).

But still, it would have helped greatly. I'll say they're doing a hell of a job reusing elements of scrapped pre-production material. I like that a lot.

But I understand how you feel about the seeming lack of attention to the preexisting things that have been brought back. It's like, oh, they name drop Darth Bane, Rule of Two, etc., but we're left in the dark about anything else surrounding this folk tale of a character who is otherwise beloved by EU fans and has an established backstory that could easily be shoehorned into canon material.
