Starcraft 2 Is Dead
Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)14:36:24nobody wants most games and nobody would have really cared if this was something well executed. Instead they just seem to be trying to force a game of the decade out of everything when that's not realistic anymore.besides that it seems like they don't have enough developers right now. I would guess it was cut more for that reason than any other. An kind of branch of ow, wow, and d4 are all very big projects needing big time support. The cancellation actually seems to have been months ago around the time of them pulling some devs off hots (aside from the esport firings). Easier to move people around than to hire outsiders. Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)14:36:34Both the more 'recent' Battlezone games were great, though the unit AI was retarded (not an insurmountable problem for a modern game).
Oct 6, 2017 - How can I check the mobile number on my Aadhar card? Nobody is using the mobile number they registered while applying for Aadhar card. How to check my registered mobile number in aadhar card.
Sacrifice was also good, though it didn't have full RTS mechanics. The Uprising games were also pretty fun, but the RTS elements were also limited. On the multiplayer front there's Natural Selection, those were great too. What games tried this 'several times'? Battlezone and Natural Selection are the only series which did this without crippling either FPS, or most commonly RTS, mechanics. What else is there?
Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)15:53:05 Their bad decisions were made before any SJW 'hires' even came in.Diablo 3 was fucked. SC2's meta in the pro scene was terrible (archon blackholes every game. Warpgate/forcefield pushes), poorly run esports scene which centralized everything and allowed koreans to register as Americans. This effectively killed grass roots western scene. They also dropped the ball on Dota, by refusing to let Icefrog develop something for them.Focusing on pink haired hires as the reason for Blizz downfall is utterly stupid. Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)16:04:43It all really started when they were acquired by Activision. When a business is first started, it is usually because the founder(s) have a vision of something they want to achieve in the world.
Starcraft 2 Community Dead
Blizzard started by wanting to make great video games. But when a business is acquired, it is only ever for one reason: To make more money. The previous goals of the business, such as creating a positive difference in the world, are abandoned by the new corporate owner. The new owner demands that all subsequent behavior of the company be changed to pursue only one goal: higher profits.Blizzard lost its 'soul' when it was acquired by Activision, and they have been producing mass-market, soulless, casual-tier shit ever since. Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)16:11:07fixing the problems Overwatch already hasPart of me thinks they're better off starting from scratch and reworking core systems. Overwatch is fundamentally broken to the point where just adding a few new characters, skins, or maps isn't going to work anymore. The game isn't starved for content, it's starved for a reason to play. That said though, if Blizzard has to choose between reworking Overwatch into 'Overwatch 2.0' via a patch, or starting from scratch with a retail-price sequel, we all know which one they're gonna pick.
File: (163 KB, 818x503) It's so sad, because Blizzard desperately needs a new and original game. Overwatch ended up being fucking dogshit because they can't design multiplayer games anymore even if their life depended on it.A single player shooter a la AvP with three factions would have been a godsend, but oh well.Fuck Blizzard. We all know that Diablo 4 is gonna flop harder than 3, considering they seem to have learned nothing from their past mistakes and even had the audacity to announce a chink-ware game at their Blizzcon. People actually paid good money to get shat in the face like that. Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)17:15:12Diablo 4 is gonna flop harder than 3Diablo 3 didn't flop though, it sold exceptionally well even though it looked like shit because it was fucking Diablo. Blizzard have been living on brand recognition alone for a long time now.
Even HotS was basically 'hey kids, remember when we made good games?' I don't think that's gonna fly post-Diablo for mobile, though.
They better unjust themselves hard with the next game. That shit triggered me so hard in SC2.has those huge claws in her backshoots DBZ ki blasts insteadAt least in HotS they got it right. Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)17:24:37You know it is possible that they try to overcompensate and do a complete fan-service reacharound in 4 to show “they still got it”.Unlikely but it definitely is possible. As Activision sees newer generations ruining some of their most valuable IP, they could bring in some consultants and elbow the direction this project goes in.I’m 110% positive Activision is aware that the blizzard “brand” has been damaged as of late and can easily pull in some well compensated, low profile babysitters (consultants). Anonymous 06/07/19(Fri)17:29:32I didn't know about Savage, I'll have a look at those gamesIm afraid you are fucked. Savage used the same gameplay structure as like Natural Selection.
So you cant play it because there are no players to play with.Oh, i just remember another game:Freeallegiance, i think its now called Microsoft Allegiance on Steam (it was originally made by microsoft but went free and developed by some fans). That one is a space combat sim, but also with RTS elements. Was great fun while it lasted, but seems dead these days as well;.

It likely has to do with his skill level. If you are in the lowest tier, or the very highest tier, Matchmaking will take longer, because there are not many players in the game at your skill-level(not to mention, low level players don't play as much as diamond/master/GM players). The VAST majority of people are either in Gold, Plat, or Diamond.
If you're below, or above these ranks, your MM time can be higher(sometimes, a couple 100% higher). I don't think it's as bad at the low ranks, as it is at the highest(GM).Also, it depends the game-mode. Not many people play archon mode. Not many play 4v4, for lag/performance reasons. Most 'serious' players don't take 3v3 seriously, because it's too many potential matchups to consider. 1v1 is the most popular, and 2v2 is in second, with a big drop off after that.Ever since Co-Op, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 ranked have taken a hit. I suspect that a lot of Casual ranked players like myself, who used to ONLY play 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, switched over to Co-Op.
I remember hearing that more people play Co-Op now than ladder in NA(not sure if this is true anymore though). It likely has to do with his skill level.
